In an effort to bring my art and my spiritual path together, I use images of people as signposts for self-awareness, appreciation of self and others, and ways of living in this difficult world in a peaceful and harmonious way.

My intention is to explore the emotional similarities we share with each other, and from this understanding to foster compassion in my own heart and in others. The emotional resonance of a painting reveals its title.

For me the union of imagery and words is a reminder of our individuality and our connection to each other.
